The origional
facility officially opened on May 1, 1964 with a capacity of 118
residents.
Over the years, our facility has made several improvements to better
the quality of life for our residents such as: additional resident
rooms in 1966 and again in 1973.
Construction of an attached chapel in 1973, development of a walking
park with in our grounds, and additional resident service provisions
such as in-house Physical, Speech and Occupational therapies. Currently
we have a variety of double and private rooms.
NURSING
Our team of Licensed Nurses and Trained Staff provide individualized
plans of care.
SOCIAL SERVICES
Our Licensed Social Worker acts as a liaison between the residents,
staff, family, community and other resources.
SPIRITUAL
There are regularly scheduled and special services for persons of all
faiths in our facility chapel. There are Lutheran communion services
twice a week, Catholic mass once a week in addition to Rosary groups
twice a week and Catholic communion services offered weekly. Also
weekly interfaith services are done by our local churches.
COMPLETE REHABILITATION SERVICES
Our facility offers a comprehensive rehabilitation program including
Physical Therapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech Language Pathology.
Our therapy programs are individualized and tailored to meet each
individuals needs. Therapy services are available to our in house
residents and to those in the community on an outpatient basis.
Our inpatient therapy programs are complimented by Restorative
Nursing. This program offers continued range of motion and exercise
once therapy is completed.
DIETARY
Our Dietary Department provides a family style dining, serving meals
that are tasty and prepared for your specific nutritional needs. Alternative
menu selections are available for Dinner/Supper.
RECREATIONAL
There are daily activity programs available including weekends and
Holidays. Professional staff provides leisure activites such as: games,
entertainment, parties, socials, music programs, Reminisce groups,
cooking groups, gardening club, intergenerational groups, men's group,
crafts and special events and specialized groups for residents with
impairments. Residents also have the opportunity to serve on the Resident
council and food committee. One to One activity visits are also offered
to those in need.
